Girls Und Panzer 08/12 (BD, 720p)

I'm using the Hiryuu subs. They were also nice enough to give me the v2 scripts they will use for the batch. Panzer, vor!

Volume 1    Volume 2    Volume 3    Volume 4    Volume 5    Volume 6

  2. Really glad you've chosen Hiryuu subs. Commie with their German scripts are getting too tiresome...

  3. Please include Commie subs too. I just can't stand Hiryuu's "tankwondo".

    1. And I can't stand Commie's random German.

    2. Their second track doesn't have random German though.

    3. It has less, but they said they still had some. And doesn't matter to me, I like Hiryuu.

  4. @Anon And no sane person can stand Commie's insane German crap as anything more than a mild joke. It's like gg's Code Geass subs, they spice the experience up for an initial following of the series. Hiryuu's subs are much better, and I don't mean the German crap. Look at the subscompare subs comparisons. If it really, really bugs you just extract the subs and find and replace 'tankwondo' with whatever you want.

  6. Thanks for using Hiryuu Subs & working on the BDs! Just wondering, will you be working on the Specials as well? 2 of the Specials are recaps and the other 6 Specials are 12 mins long which is currently airing.

Thanks for the hard work that you have put in this year and hope to see more Animes in BDs from you in the brand new year, 2013!

Lastly, Happy New Year, DmonHiro! =)

  8. Question - will there be a 1080p version?
    Thanks for the release.

  9. If you would like to have it, I can make available a ass. file later tonight for the OP file that you have. It's been timed to match your OP, with minor re-edit/TLC. Ripped it from Hiryuu TV release.

    1. Ahh, lyrics for the NCOP. No offense, but that's kind of silly. The whole point of NC is to see the animation without text getting in the way.

    2. And it seems like Hiryuu's v2 scripts still have the v1 of the OP&ED ie. they're different from the ones used in the later episodes...

    3. Could be. I don't really check the OP/ED.

  12. I dunno why people complain about using Hiryuu subs. I watched Commie subs at first, but when Hiryuu release came out, I compared both subs and it turned out Hiryuu has more superior quality.
People really like to troll nowadays.

  13. Any reasons for not doing 1080p?

  14. I only download from Commie and/or Horriblesubs if they're the only ones releasing a particular anime that other groups aren't doing/haven't done. I found their subbed version of Girls und Panzer rather annoying with the overuse of German words and "Tankery".

I feel that Tankwondo sounds a lot cooler and is more appropriate for a martial arts that uses WWI and II tanks.

    I look forward to downloading Dmon's blu-ray releases of Hiryuu's translation. :)

  16. Thanks for doing the BDs for this series and for using Hiryuu subs. I didn't see a way of getting back to the original posting for Volume 1, so I'll make my comment here. The chapters are incorrect for Ep 2 since there is no Prologue. The current Ep 2 chapters are:

    [00:00:00] Prologue
    [00:01:30] Opening
    [00:11:44] Part A
    [00:22:35] Part B
    [00:24:05] Ending
    [00:24:12] Preview

    The correct chapters should be:

    [00:00:00] Opening
    [00:01:30] Part A
    [00:11:44] Part B
    [00:22:35] Ending
    [00:24:05] Preview

    1. Fair enough, but too minor of an issue to make a v2.

  17. Are you diong the OVA's?

    1. Hiryuu is doing the OVAs themselves.

  18. Crunchyroll subs > fansubbers for this but Hiryuu is totally acceptable, unlike those abject failures at commie.

  19. Hi there, thanks for releasing subbed BD episodes for this series! :)

Was just re-watching Hiryuu's Episode 9 for this, and found a slight error. Already messaged them, but not sure if they had seen it or not (no reply from them), and I don't use IRC.

Anyway, the error is around 11:28 to 11:34.
    "Hey!" (girls stop dancing)
    "Pravda High gave you..."
"a time limit. It's almost over."

At "Pravda High gave you...", it was actually one of Oarai's volleyball girls saying "Pravda ko no...!", and thus is actually something along the lines of "Pravda High's...!". Didn't notice this before, but saw this when watching the 2nd time, when I saw her (very tiny and therefore pretty easy-to-miss) mouth movement. Since it was different girls (from 2 different schools) who had said the latter 2 lines (the last line being the Pravda girl's "Mo sugu time limit desu." (a new sentence), I doubt they should be joined in the subs. Maybe you would like to make this minor correction before releasing Episode 9, if Hiryuu hadn't corrected it already? Thanks!

  20. Huzzah, volume 4! Episode 7 has a small typo in the filename though, it should be Anzio, not Anizo. :p
